Okay, story time ♡

Hi, I’m Maham.
I make the cute stuff.

The Mamay Door started in 2020, when I was 19, in my third semester at university, and apparently thought starting a handmade business during a pandemic sounded like a good idea.

Honestly, it didn’t begin with some huge business plan. I just really loved making jewellery, putting gifts together, playing with colours and details, and creating things that felt a little more personal than something picked straight off a shelf.

One thing turned into another, one order turned into many, and somewhere along the way my little creative corner became The Mamay Door.

“

I never wanted to just sell things. I wanted someone to open their order and immediately feel, “Oh… this was actually made for me.”

From one idea to a whole lot of beads

So, how did we get here?

2020

The beginning

Handmade jewellery, personalized gifts, gift boxes, university classes and a whole lot of experimenting. That was pretty much the original setup.

Then…

You guys started giving me ideas

Different colours. Custom combinations. Something seen somewhere online that nobody else was making. And honestly? Those requests became one of my favourite parts of the job.

Now

It became a lot more than jewellery

Beaded bags, personalized jewellery, curated gift boxes, kids’ activity kits, DIY kits, bracelet-making kits, bag-making kits, mystery gifts and whatever cute idea we decide to make next.

The slightly messy part ♡

Made somewhere between beads, ideas & “wait… what if?”

A lot of The Mamay Door happens right here — testing combinations, undoing things, remaking them, trying another colour, and occasionally finding beads absolutely everywhere.

The little things matter

Personalized means more than putting a name on it.

To me, personalization is about understanding who the gift is for, what they like, what colours feel like them and what tiny detail would make the whole thing feel more thoughtful.

Most of our pieces are handmade by me. And whenever something is sourced, I’m still picky about it — because if I wouldn’t feel happy giving it to someone myself, I don’t want to put it in your order either.

So whether it’s a tiny bracelet or a whole customized gift box, the goal stays the same: make it feel personal.
